The classification of electrical connectors and application  

Electrical connection allows the current in the circuit is blocked at the barrier or isolated circuit can flow to achieve the intended function of the circuit. Some connectors are made in the form of an ordinary socket, cable industry has been widely recognized and used.

Over the years the classification of electrical connectors confusion, all manufacturers have their own classifications and standards. The National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA, the National Electronic Distributors Association) hosted in 1989 developed a set of known classifications of the connector parts package (Levels of Packaging) standards. According to the criteria, communication links typically use four connectors. And applications to discuss the connector.But just for learning and classification level connector, the actual work is rarely talked about the connector according to the above level, but in accordance with the appearance of the connector structure of the form and way of connecting to name it (different structure named by the electrical connectors internationally accepted norms to make specific provisions in detail; In general, the different structure of the connectors, have a different range of applications.) Communication network connections often depend on the media, so the connection is usually in different media, connectivity and applications to discuss the connector.

1. Multi-line cable connector

Multi-line cable connector, including DB connector and DIX connectors and DIN connectors.

(1) DB-type connectors, including DB-9, DB-15, DB-25 connector, which is used to connect serial devices and parallel port cable, into the positive side and negative side, DB25 DB is represented in the D-type connector, digital 25 representative of the number of connector pins. 2. Twisted-pair connector          

Twisted pair connections includes two connectors: RJ45 and RJ11. RJ is to describe the public telecom network interface, in the past, Class 4, Category 5, Cat5e, or even the introduction of the near Category 6 cabling, the RJ-type interfaces are used.

(1)  RJ11 connectors: a telephone line type connector supports 2 lines and 4 lines, telephone lines are generally used for user access.

3. Coaxial cable connector

Coaxial cable connectors include BNC T connector and terminal connector and resistor.

(1)  T connector: for connecting coaxial cable and BNC connector.

(2)  BNC connectors: BayoNette Bayonet barrel connector for the network segment connected to the BNC connector. Communications and computer markets and the rapid growth of communications technology and computer technologies have become the coaxial connector to stimulate growth in demand for primary factors. RF coaxial connector type from the connection points, mainly in the following three:

(1)   Thread connection type: such as: APC-7, N, TNC, SMA, SMC, L27, L16, L12, L8, L6, etc. RF coaxial connector. This connection in the form of connector with high reliability, shielding effect is good, so applications are most widely used.

(2)   Outlet connector type: such as BNC, C, Q9, Q6 and other RF coaxial connector. This connector has the connection convenient, fast and so is the application of the first international radio frequency connector form.

(3)   line push connection types: such as SMB, SSMB, MCX, etc., this form of connector connected with a simple and compact structure, small size, easy-to-small size and other characteristics.
